The Senior Recruiter role is a critical team member in Ogilvy’s centralized Talent Acquisition group.  The team is comprised of professional recruiters and is a fun and engaging group.  The Senior Recruiter is responsible for building strong relationships with Managers, following up on employee referrals, proactively sourcing top talent across ALL levels (junior to Executive) and maintaining a strategic recruiting pipeline.  This person is a credibility builder, a talent champion, an agency facilitator, and talent advocate.  Also demonstrates ability to provide excellent customer service, multitask and prioritize effectively to meet group and business unit needs.  


  • Strategically produces candidates at all experience levels, and through all means necessary.  In particular, this individual must be comfortable with all aspects of recruiting with strong communication skills both verbally and written, in order to properly engage candidates. 
  • The individual will have access to a variety of tools including LinkedIn Recruiter, iCIMs (mining internal search database) and outside resources; direct sourcing; networking; and attending industry events.
  • Achieves staffing objectives by recruiting and evaluating job candidates.  Proactively builds pipelines of diverse talent related to key business and hiring initiatives across the divisions, as well as for high turnover and hard to fill roles. 
  • Produces weekly recaps and status reports to all hiring managers and teams, in order to ensure seamless and constant communication.
  • Advises managers on best practice for recruitment, and assists in relocations and immigration cases.  Willing to be objective in order to achieve best results.
  • Monitors industry trends and new business initiatives in competitive industries, shares information with the team as appropriate, and maintains data in iCIMs on a real time basis.
  • The Senior Recruiter will often have ownership as the point of contact for one, or multiple, practices/departments.


  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in hiring/recruiting with heavy emphasis on search.
  • Knowledge of recruitment practices, relevant job markets and research processes.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Digital, Advertising and Communication industries.
  • Must be an expert in various sourcing techniques (i.e. internet search, cold calling).
  • Excellent relationship management skills. Ability to interface with senior hiring leaders.
  • Knowledge of applicable employment laws and practices (i.e. OFCCP, AA, EEO).
  • A problem solver who can adapt to various situations and personalities.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, with a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize.
  • Strong project and process management skills.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems, job boards, social media sites, etc.
  • Experience managing others is a plus.
  • Advanced computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
