  • Overview

    The Human Resources department at Ogilvy is an integral part of the success of the agency’s business. As a department we hope to enable our employees, managers, and teams with the tools, resources, support, and guidance they need to complete the important task of making our clients brands matter.

     

    The Human Resources Manager administers and coordinates HR programs, policies, and procedures. Liaise with Ogilvy HR. Addresses employee inquiries in timely manner to maintain productive workforce. Provides advisory services to employees and management to enhance individual and department effectiveness.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare all new hire paperwork including creation and maintenance of employee files. Prepare all separation letters and coordinate with Ogilvy Benefits and HRIS. Prepare EARS and gathers appropriate signatures for processing. Conducts Exit interviews. Prepares reports as required, including headcount and recruitment.
    • Partners with managers in recruitment and workforce planning. Maintains Applicant Tracking information for compliance and reporting purposes. Conducts New Hire Orientation. Liaison with Creative for Freelance Recruitment and maintains agency contracts.
    • Assists in administering the performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
    • Counsels managers to support strategic HR direction and resolve organizational and individual issues; counsels employees in execution of HR programs.
    • Supports headquarters business office in person and by telephone as needed.
    • Creates partnerships with management to support and develop culture, increase morale, and motivate employees. Provides tools to improve skills for career development opportunities.
    • Partners with the Finance group on financial impacts to salary cost line items, recruitment expense and freelance costs to ensure profit margins.
    • Mediates and manages any employee relations issues or brings them to the immediate attention of the HR Director for resolution.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
    • Minimum of 4 – 6 years of HR generalist experience including recruitment with at least one year as a manager. Advertising, Communications, Marketing Services experience a plus.
    • High degree of discretion and confidentiality a must
    • Must be detail-oriented with a concern for accuracy of spelling and grammar, but capable of seeing the big picture.
    • Ability to handle multiple projects with sense of humor. Is not upset by last minute and late breaking requests.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills with customer service orientation. Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    • Ability to work on own, as well as in a team environment with proven track record of initiative and information seeking skills.
